April Atchison was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia.  She attained her Masters of Education in Speech Language Pathology in 2005 at the University of West Georgia.  Additionally, she attained a Specialist In Special Education in 2008 from the University of West Georgia.  After working in various school districts in the state of Georgia to include:  Carroll County, Fayette County, and Fulton County school districts, April decided to relocate to the west coast in order to acquire a more diverse clinical experience.  There, April cultivated her passion to work more closely with both children and families of which birthed “Talk Time Speech and Language Services.”  April further developed a more global perspective by traveling to over forty countries to date and leaving a mark as it relates to the field of speech language pathology.  April’s passion for working with families of diverse cultures is apparent as she continues to provide support for children, families, and professionals both locally and globally.

Jenna Mercer is one of our nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologists who was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2017, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences at Auburn University. She then earned her Master’s of Education in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of West Georgia in 2019. Jenna has acquired years of experience with the Early Intervention Population (ages 0-3) and has worked with pediatrics of all ages in school, hospital, and private practice setting. She has a strong passion for helping children develop a sense of confidence through improved communication. Jenna believes that creating a positive and fun environment for a child is the key to sparking speech and language improvement!

Amanda Norman was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2013, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from The University of Alabama. She then headed south to Florida State University graduating with a Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 2015. Amanda started her career in Georgia with the Henry County school system,  working there for 3 years with students ranging from pre-kindergarten to high school. She transitioned from the school system to private practice in 2019. Amanda’s primary interests in the field include Early Language Intervention, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and Sensory Feeding. She is passionate about working with the pediatric population, helping them find their voice.

LaToya attended Roberta T. Smith Elementary and Stockbridge High school. After high school, she attended the University of West Georgia. LaToya graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She attended Hampton University, where she completed her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.

During her professional career, LaToya has had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations and disorders. She also has gained experience working as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including schools, daycares, and homes.

LaToya has had the opportunity to professionally work with children with children with Developmental Delays, Down Syndrome, Autism, Apraxia, Language-Based Literacy Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Medically Fragile Children, and Articulation/Phonological Disorders. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages and their families. LaToya is licensed by the board of Georgia and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

Angela was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL. In 2019, she earned her Bachelor of Health Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida. She became a double Gator and graduated with a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2021. Angela has extensive experience in the school, private practice, and hospital settings. Angela’s primary interests in the field are Articulation and Speech Sound Disorders, Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders, and Swallowing Disorders. She is passionate about working with the pediatric population and enjoys making therapy fun and motivating!
