It is the position of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) that communication is the essence of human life and that all peopple have the right to communicate to the fullest extent possible. April Atchison

April Atchison was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia. She attained her Masters of Education in Speech Language Pathology in 2005 at the University of West Georgia. Additionally, she attained a Specialist In Special Education in 2008 from the University of West Georgia. After working in various school districts in the state of Georgia to include: Carroll County, Fayette County, and Fulton County school districts, April decided to relocate to the west coast in order to acquire a more diverse clinical experience. There, April cultivated her passion to work more closely with both children and families of which birthed “Talk Time Speech and Language Services.” April further developed a more global perspective by traveling to over forty countries to date and leaving a mark as it relates to the field of speech language pathology. April’s passion for working with families of diverse cultures is apparent as she continues to provide support for children, families, and professionals both locally and globally.
